Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Moody Bloops does not require an account, and your game progress stays on your device. The free version shows ads through third-party providers, which may process device information as described below. A one-time purchase removes required ads; optional ads you choose to watch for extra rewards remain available.

Who we are

dekoboko studio ("we," "us," or "our") built Moody Bloops as a self-contained puzzle game. This policy explains what data the app does, and does not, handle.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location. We do not run a game server that receives your progress, and the app has no analytics service of its own. Advertising providers may process device information, including your IP address, as explained below.

Ads

The free version of Moody Bloops shows ads served through Google AdMob, whose software is built into the app. Google and participating advertising partners may process information such as your device's advertising identifier (when permitted), IP address, device type, approximate location inferred from your IP address, and interactions with ads. They use this information to deliver and measure ads and, where permitted, to personalise them. Google explains its practices in its Privacy Policy (see also how Google uses information from apps that use its services). The European consent message lists participating ad partners and their purposes. We may see aggregate ad performance reports, but we do not receive individual advertising profiles or use AdMob data to identify you.

The game shows two kinds of ads: required ads that appear during play, and optional rewarded ads that you can choose to watch in exchange for extra in-game rewards. Rewarded ads only play when you tap to watch one. Both kinds are served through AdMob and handled as described above.

Your ad privacy choices

The choices available to you depend on your location and device:

  • In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, the game presents a consent message where you can consent, decline, or manage your choices for advertising-related data use. Ads may still appear if you decline, with reduced personalisation.
  • In applicable US states, the game's Privacy choices option lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, as those terms are defined by the applicable law, and related ad personalisation. Your opt-out choice is communicated to Google. This option is available through the game's settings when required; the US message does not necessarily appear when you first open the game.
  • Elsewhere, these regional messages may not appear. Ads may be personalised where permitted by law and your device settings.

On iOS, the game may show an explanation followed by Apple's App Tracking Transparency request for permission to track activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, Google's ad software does not include the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) in ad requests, though ads can still appear.

You can revisit available choices using Privacy choices in the game's settings when that option is shown. You can also adjust tracking and advertising settings on your device. Buying ad removal, described below, stops required ads from being shown in the game; optional rewarded ads only play if you choose to watch them.

What's stored on your device

The app saves its progress locally, in app storage private to Moody Bloops, including:

  • Your level progress and the stars you have earned
  • Your coins, plus the visual themes and bloop finishes you have chosen
  • Game settings such as sound and music
  • Whether you have purchased ad removal

We never receive this information, and it is not linked to your identity. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

Removing ads (in-app purchase)

The only purchase in the game is a one-time purchase that removes required ads. Optional rewarded ads stay available after purchase, so you can still choose to watch one for extra rewards, but they never play unless you ask for them. The purchase is processed entirely through Apple's App Store or Google Play, depending on your platform. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We never see or store your payment information. We only receive confirmation that the purchase was made, which is saved on your device so the game knows to stop showing required ads.

Children's privacy

Moody Bloops is not directed at children under 13, but we know children may play it. We do not ask children to provide personal details or create accounts. Advertising providers may process device information as described above. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about the ads or data your child may encounter, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, for example if a future update adds analytics, online features, or a different ad provider, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above before that update ships.
